Tail Lifts Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment regulations 1998 LOLER

LOLER requires that any Tail Lift or lifting equipment used is strong and stable enough for its specific use and marked to indicate safe working loads, i.e. the amount the tail lift can safely lift

 LOLER requires that any Tail Lift or lifting equipment used is positioned and installed correctly to minminse any risk of injury.

LOLER requires that any Tail Lift or lifting equipment used is used safely by competent and trained persons.

LOLER requires that any Tail Lift or lifting equipment used is always subject to ongoing thorough examinations by a competent person*

*A competent person, means a person who has sufficient technical and practical knowledge on a specific tail lift to be able to ensure that it works how it to identify areas where the safe operation of the tail lift could be compromised.
